15,000 Apple devices and an IT department of three

Rituals opens 4 new stores every week, and every employee — from headquarters to the shop floor — works on an Apple device. Zero-touch deployment lets a 3-person IT team manage 15,000 devices, with 28% fewer support requests.

Challenge

The luxury beauty brand has more than 1,000 stores worldwide and opens new ones every week. Every new store needs a full set of devices ready on time and secure.

The company was growing fast but didn’t want its helpdesk to grow at the same pace. At the same time, store associates needed tools for customer service, checkout and stock management.

Solution

Headquarters works on Mac, stores run on iPhone and iPad. Apple Business Manager and Jamf let IT deploy and manage thousands of devices remotely without ever touching them.

In stores, the EVA app on iPhone handles prices, the digital cart, reservations, schedules and low-stock alerts. Checkout finishes on iPhone or on iPad at the counter, including Tap to Pay on iPhone.

„Rituals has tripled in size, but the IT service desk hasn’t. We can keep the team small, even as the company continues to grow.”
— Joost van der Zwaan, Head of ICT, Rituals
